Studio History

Gina Beebe's Dance Studio opened in 1990 and began operation in the Beebe's basement with ten students.  By 1992 the studio more than tripled in size. In 1993, the studio rented it's first business zoned space.  Since it's beginning,  the studio has performed thirty-two fully staged productions, and has participated in many community events such as Together for Kids and Kid's Days.  They have earned many awards for participation in Midland's holiday parades:  the Grand Marshal's Award in 1996 and 2003, the Reimer Award for Originality in 1997, the Merchant's Award in 2000 and 2001, and Best of Show in 1999, 2002, 2004, 2006, and 2008.  Now in 2023, celebrating their thirty third season,  the studio includes over 100 members and leases a private studio space.  In the future,  they hope to grow even more as they continue to provide young dancers with a caring attitude and a sense of individual pride.

Classes

We offer ballet classes for girls and boys beginning at age three.  Tap is added to the curriculum at age 5, followed by jazz, modern, and ballroom as students get older. 

Location

GBDS is located at 6700 North Saginaw Road in Midland, MI.  The studio is on the corner of Stark and Saginaw Roads,  in the same plaza as Northern Market.  The main entrance is on the back side of the building.
